We represent these clients in every aspect of construction, from land acquisition and development to financing, construction and sale of the project. We represent general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in commercial projects, whether public or private. We also represent clients who buy, sell, lease, own and finance commercial and residential projects. Our clients span every construction trade and type of project, and include construction companies specializing in excavation, demolition, equipment rentals, elevator construction and repair, painting, plumbing, HVAC, paving, mechanical, steel fabrication and erection, electrical (both high and low voltage) and carpentry. In addition to our construction industry clients, we represent other businesses and individuals in contract disputes, property tax issues, commercial landlord disputes, employment matters, union and labor disputes, real estate transactions, contract drafting and negotiation, retail sales issues and workouts. We represent such diverse businesses as multi-national chemical companies, foreign corporations and national retail chains. Our work for these clients involves business formation and strategic planning, contract drafting, review and negotiation, employment matters, union disputes, contract disputes and lien foreclosure actions. There is no aspect of our clients’ business that we do not become intimately involved in. Our work entails all types of dispute resolution, including arbitration and litigation for our clients in state and federal trial and appellate courts, state and federal administrative agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and the American Arbitration Association. All of our attorneys are licensed to practice before Michigan state and federal courts. Two of our attorneys are also licensed to practice before the Illinois state courts, and one is licensed to practice before the Florida state courts. We have attorneys admitted to practice before various federal courts throughout the country, including the U.S. Supreme Court, the Courts of Appeals for the Third, Sixth, Seventh, Ninth and Federal Circuits, and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan and the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois. Our attorneys have tried cases in Michigan, Illinois, and California and have been involved in appeals to state appellate courts in Michigan, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C.
